The article analyzes the operation of belt conveyor units operated at various mines, processing plants and other enterprises. The main factors leading to failures of conveyor elements are given. The analysis of methods for assessing the technical condition of belt conveyors is carried out, brief descriptions of the methods of control and technical diagnostics used in the operation of belt conveyors are given. The method of vibration diagnostics for assessing the technical condition of the belt conveyor drive station during the operation of the equipment is described. The measuring equipment for carrying out diagnostics is listed. Based on the analysis results, a monitoring system is proposed to assess the technical condition of the belt conveyor drive station. A functional structural diagram of the monitoring system, a description of the proposed system operation, and the advantage of the proposed monitoring system are presented.
