Concept for improving the organization of car flow «Almaty division - freight transportation»

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of organizing and improving car flows of the Almaty Transport Department. The results of the analysis determine the main directions for improving the organization of car flows and formulate tasks for the implementation of these directions. JSC «KTZ - Freight transportation» - the effective organization of transportation is carried out due to the system of organizing car flows into trains and the train schedule «Almaty department - freight transportation». It is possible to ensure the lowest costs for receiving, sending and delivering trains on sections of the railway infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan by developing an optimal train formation plan. The use of innovative technologies in the field of car flow management involves the interaction of technological processes of car flow movement, automated and train flow modeling systems. When developing an optimal train formation plan, the following stages of the organization are considered: development of a freight transportation plan; selection of polygon (calculation direction); modeling of traffic flows; development of a correspondence table for traffic flows along the calculated route; methodology for calculating the train formation plan for various categories of freight trains; analysis and adjustment of the train formation plan. In the Development Strategy «Kazakhstan-2050», the task of increasing the efficiency and quality of railway transport is identified as one of the important priorities. It is impossible to fulfill the main task of railway transport - to more fully and timely satisfy the customer in transportation without increasing the efficiency and quality of the railways. The presence and use of well-founded recommendations allow us to adapt the technology, methods and management system of the transportation process to the operating conditions of the railways in the considered important areas of work of the Almaty Transportation Department. This will improve the quality of basic services of public railway transport and obtain a technical and economic effect.
